Topiary Introduction

Welcome to Classic Gardener Topiary, where for the past 25 years our dedicated team of topiary specialists have consistently grown and sculpted topiary to the utmost quality in classic and unusual shapes.  We have become established as the foremost topiary suppliers in the South West, renowned for hand clipped, vigorous plants with dense healthy foliage, naturally adapted to thrive in the UK climate.

We hold an extensive portfolio of plants with large numbers of classic shapes and others as unique one-offs ready for visiting customers to select from.  Topiary can be chosen as containerised plants or from our Field Nursery as bare-rooted plants, from September to April,  for immediate re-planting. We can arrange delivery on an individual basis.

We use predominantly Buxus (Box) and Taxus (Yew) and their various types.  In addition we use some other varieties of evergreen such as Lauristinus (Portuguese Laurel) and Lonicera nitida (Evergreen Honeysuckle).

Our stock includes hedging and all the classic shapes; balls, cones, pyramids, cubes, spirals and standards and unusual shapes; animals, birds, geometrics, pom-poms and onions.  We are also able to supply and create cloud-hedging.

Over the years thousands of visitors, amongst them photographers and journalists saw our former 2 acre garden at Pound Hill House, where we incorporated topiary in many shapes and varieties to provide contrast, structure, and year-round interest to the garden.  We are often commissioned to design using similar principles and offer a full garden design Advisory Service.

Whilst our garden is no longer open to visitors there are many places to visit where you will see topiary used in wonderful garden designs.  Follow the links below to find out more details:
